The Wegovy label says resting heart rate can rise and should be monitored. We compared the three best-known screenless trackers on what they measure overnight.

The other half is what they cost over two years, and which one fits your wrist, finger and budget.

What the label says about heart rate

"I am worried about a significant raised heart rate." Posts like that one from r/Retatrutide come up often in GLP-1 forums. The Wegovy label reports mean increases in resting heart rate of 1 to 4 beats per minute compared with placebo in the adult weight-reduction trials, and tells prescribers to monitor heart rate at regular intervals. It asks patients to report palpitations or a racing heartbeat at rest (Wegovy prescribing information, section 5.9).

A tracker gives you a nightly resting heart rate trend, so you have numbers to bring to an appointment. It does not tell you why your heart rate changed.

How to read your resting heart rate trend

  1. Wear the tracker every night for two weeks to set your baseline.
  2. Look at the 7-day and 30-day average, not single nights. Alcohol, a late meal, illness and hard training all raise it.
  3. Note the date you start or change any medicine in the app's notes.
  4. If your average stays several beats above your baseline, or you feel your heart racing at rest, contact your prescriber.

Common questions

Does Ozempic or Wegovy raise resting heart rate?

The Wegovy label reports mean increases of 1 to 4 beats per minute compared with placebo in adult weight-reduction trials, and says heart rate should be monitored. Tell your prescriber about palpitations or a racing heartbeat at rest.

Which tracker is best for resting heart rate on a GLP-1?

All three report overnight resting heart rate. Oura Ring 4 is the easiest start at plus a month; Ultrahuman Ring Pro has no subscription; WHOOP suits wrist wearers.

Is Oura or Ultrahuman cheaper?

Oura charges a membership after the first month. Ultrahuman Ring Pro does not. I left the dollar figures off this page. Read each brand's membership terms before you buy.

Can I buy an Ultrahuman ring in the US?

The Ring Pro, yes. US customs cleared its redesign in March 2026, and it is sold on Amazon by Ultrahuman US. The older Ring Air remains blocked from US import.

Does WHOOP need a subscription?

Yes. WHOOP sells the band with a membership. I am not listing the dollar amounts here. The plans are on whoop.com, and I do not have a confirmed Amazon button for WHOOP.

Can a smart ring detect a heart problem?

These trackers are wellness devices and are not built to diagnose heart rhythm problems. If something feels wrong, contact your prescriber.

If I could only buy one

If I could only buy one, it's the Oura Ring 4, after a sizing kit. The membership is the gripe. The morning heart rate is the reason.

Sources, methodology, and changes

Methodology. We read the Wegovy prescribing information (section 5.9 and patient counseling), the Amazon US listings for each tracker on October 12, 2026 from a New York delivery address, WHOOP's membership pages, and news coverage of Ultrahuman's US import status. We did not wear or test any tracker. Feature lists come from the listings and brand pages.
